Dear Youth Fashion Summit participants

It is almost a month since we met in Copenhagen for the workshop at Maersk and for the Copenhagen Fashion Summit in The Opera.

We have received much positive feedback on both the process and on your results in terms of the 7 demands. The quotes below are just a few –

The next generation didn’t just voice their opinions at the Copenhagen Fashion Summit earlier this month; it roared.”- Veronica Crespi, Ecouterre,

One of the most powerful moments of the presentation was when 100 design students from all over the world presented their goals and ideas for creating a more sustainable fashion industry. It gave us hope.” – Derek Blasberg, V-Magazine.

All presentations from Copenhagen Fashion Summit, including your demands can be found at Copenhagen Fashion Summit´s site.

Once again thank you all for your enormous contribution to the Youth Fashion Summit and the Copenhagen Fashion Summit.

On behalf of Danish Fashion Institute / Nordic Fashion Association and KEA / Copenhagen School of Design and Technology we wish you all the best for the future.

Dear students and lecturers

We here at KEA and Danish Fashion Institute / Nordic Fashion Association would like to thank all of you for making the Youth Fashion Summit and the Copenhagen Fashion Summit into something really unique. We hope it was a good and rewarding experience for all of you.

Once again – thank you so very much for your great dedication and contributions.

Best,
KEA Staff

DEAR STUDENTS
There has been some concerns regarding the materials to hand in on the 26.4 (as written in the guide you were given at the third webinar and quoted in the text above.

The 5 KEY FINDINGS must be written down. Think of story telling and find catchy headlines for your key findings. Each key finding is supported by an argument. Maybe this argument is a mix of writing, quotes, statements and visuals from your Ethnoraids. This should be handed in (send to Ditte) in a word document. You use as many or few pages as needed.

The 2-5 PICTURES are to be set up on a A4 size background and handed in in pdf format. You will style, design the A4 as you like. If you have a series of pictures and would like to hand in 7,8,9 or 10 pics. because it makes sense for your representation of the field – this is fine. Some student asked if there should be text on the pictures so the viewer would know to which Ethnoraid / key finding it belonged. I think this is a good idea, just as long as you make sure to keep the text short.

YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR 5 KEY FINDINGS INCLUDING ARGUMENTS IN WRITING (WORD DOCUMENT) AND 2-5 PICTURES, graphically set up as you would like to present them on a A4 SIZE IN PDF FORMAT – TO DITTE AT THE LATEST ON THE 26.4.12

I hope this clarified any concerns you may have had regarding the hand in on the 26.

Look forward to see you on the 2. of May.

Best,
Camilla Simpson
